Jonathan Shaklee

Jonathan (Jon) Shaklee is a co-owner of Shaklee & Oliver and the managing attorney of our office in Kennewick, WA. Jon studied political science and Spanish as an undergraduate at Western Washington University. He graduated from Gonzaga University School of Law in 2007.

Jon was born in Orange, CA to immigrant parents from Jalisco, Mexico. He was adopted at birth and later moved with his family to Roseburg, OR. From a very young age, Jon contemplated what it means to be Chicano and how he could help serve the immigrant community.

Following high school, Jon spent several years on a religious mission in Caracas, Venezuela and surrounding areas. During law school, he traveled to the Dominican Republic to help construct a learning center near the village of Cruz Verde. He also spent a summer as a judicial intern along the Mexican border at the U.S. District Court in Laredo, TX. Throughout these travels and others, Jon was exposed to the immense challenges confronted by immigrants. As a result, he has always felt compelled to serve his clients with respect and gratitude, and these experiences continue to motivate him today.
